You, sir, have blown my mind. I was just earlier trying to tap with my arc flash/hoof, and was getting a little frustrated because the sound was so thin and tiny. So I pulled my fulltone OCD out and put it in front of the arc flash and then the hoof, and :animal: . I was getting ready to drop $100 on a barber dirty bomb, but holy crap I can get a  metal tone out of my OD and fuzz. Tapping, pinch harmonics, heavy palm mutes, it's all butter OD > fuzz. So thank you sir.

PS: I still might get a Dirty Bomb, but I think I'm going to pick up a wolf computer (mini?) first. :excellent:

no problem man glad i could help! i did that on accident one day and it just seems that the OD will keep your attack tight while the fuzz will keep the whole signal thick and filthy.

want some serious heavyness?

super muff or a thick fuzzstortion @ half gain or so > thickest fullest fuzz you can find. :excellent: :excellent: :excellent: i use a bluebeard as a stupid heavy OD into a megalith and it is amazing.

The Metal Zone if actually a pretty nice sounding pedal....and it is analog for all of you purests out there. It is all in the eq. Most people want to scoop the mids on those types of pedals. Fuck that....CRANK THE MIDS!!!!

I have a Dr. Boogie that I use only with my super clean Music Man 75RP head. It screams with that set up. I also have a Marshall Shredmaster that I use in conjunction with my cranked Marshall amps. Here is another thing that I always do....I alwasy run my Fuzz pedals with the high gain pedals after or in front for a little midrange hump. Love that.

Yeah, you can get some pretty good sounds out of a metal zone (if you don't scoop or something  ), but it is not my sound personally..
