I handed it off to jrmy at the end of last week. I assume he's busy slaying worlds with it.

Actually, I'm busy sweating my balls off because I have no AC in my music room. I'm sorry for the holdup, guys - this weekend, I will slay worlds, record clips of the slaying, and get the pedal off on its way on Monday!

Thanks man. I'll probably just head to the hardware store and buy a couple of really strong fans - I don't know when this stupid East Coast heatwave is going to let up...

Want to know what 24-ish tracks of Caracol playing the same riff all at once sounds like?
OF COURSE YOU DO!!!!Seriously people, used properly, this pedal could break the world.
12-minute demo with all tracks separated out will be posted tonight or tomorrow.
I know we've said it before, but this pedal is absolutely insane, folks. Totally gonzo-de-nutso, in the best possible way.

Caracol demo is up on SoundCloud!
http://soundcloud.com/thewyrrejimes/caracol-demoThat thing is so much fun. I wish I could keep it for more superhappy funtimes, but will get it in the mail to the next person (I'm lookin' at you,
Kosta!) either tomorrow or Thursday.

Thanks man! I wish I could hold onto this pedal for a month - there are so many possibilities in here! The Caracol has definitely made it to the top of my GAS list... the beautiful thing about it is the way that it can make batsh*t crazy pedals usable. The bent BF-2 that I use towards the beginning is on a setting that usually produces totally ear-splitting oscillation within seconds. Something about the way the Caracol interacts with, mixes & gates the signal makes it totally reasonable, without losing the characteristics that I dig in it.

Were you stacking or plugging thing into the other source input?

Yep - sorry, I should have been more clear in my SoundCloud comments. I got a Y-splitter, so one clean signal went into the Caracol's main source input, and then the other signal went through a second pedal, which went into the Caracol's carrier input. It's a pretty brilliant setup. Also, it should be noted that I didn't play with the Caracol's settings that much - I think you could get an even WIDER range of sounds by experimenting with the focus & intensity knobs on the Caracol. I did that a little, but not much since I knew I wanted to try so many other pedals through it.

Yeah, I do a lot of doubling my signal when recording, so I can use both pedal effects and DAW plug-in effects, so I always have a Y-splitter around.
