Tonight is our first official practice with our new guitarist since he tried out and we let go of our old one. I am so fucking excited, I have no idea how I'm going to sit here for the rest of the workday.

my fingers hurt from a lot of guitar playing today.
I didn't count how long like I normally do because I was into what I was doing.

Just foolishly blew half of my remaining money on parts to get a rusty Worksman bike I found in the garage going FUCK YEAH
...will regret it soon
And my terribly ugly secret weapon is nearing completion. As long as I have a project to work on, I feel more positive in general.
EVEN WHEN SHIT IS REALLY SHIT THERE'S ALWAYS A PROJECT TO LOOK FORWARD TO AND ALSO CAPS LOCK

Two new favourite quotes.
“I respect you as a person too much to respect your ridiculous beliefs.” ― Johann Hari
“There is just no way that you can politely suggest to somebody that they have devoted their life to a folly. But sometimes you have to say that. And, you can say: 'Pardon me sir or madam, not meaning any disrespect, but has it occurred to you, that you have wasted your life?'” ― Daniel Dennett

You did well!
I am happy because after having a shit weekend and monday and tuesday the pop band completely killed it at the rehearsal. We made two new songs that I just made up then and I channeled all the negative energy into that. Also I noticed that I am no longer the fattest in our band. I lost some weight and the drummer is growing a belly. Wheehee! Today I rode my bike to work and it was gorgeous. Had a good time at work and bought some records on my way home.

Awesome! That thing is a great read. Glad the library over here had it, it's a pain to come by here in Germany.
