I've never understood the 'holiday gifting thing'. I'd rather give my attention/money/help to someone who needs it at the time they need it then 'waste' money only cuz it's a social norm to buy gifts at that time. I understand that some people have their reasons to do it, but if some people really don't have an idea what to buy/makes at-that-time, they shouldn't force it, they can just be like: "Look, you're not getting a gift this year, I wasn't inspired and I want my gift to be an expression of something else than just a social norm. Instead of a gift you're getting me, you're getting my whole loving attention whenever you need it. You're getting my spontaneous ideas, my random expressions of love, and all of them fully honest." I think that's a better gift then most of the stuff people buy each-other these days. I'm kinda on the utilitarian side tho and I like to spend money for useful stuff and for needs, not wishes, it makes me happy ^^
And as you can see, I'm all up for honest expression, in whatever form that expression may be.

I don't know. The thing is, I like to give gifts and do other things all the time. So I do a lot spontaneously, but then this is just another excuse to let me do more.

3 days into my 6 week holiday break and im beyond bored and all ive done is eat the same batch of curry 3 times a day, sleep, and smoke arab bongs while watching the office
not sure how i feel about it

Sounds balla'. You'll get off your ass eventually but there's still nothing like spending the first couple days of vacation vegging like mad.

We had a whole lecture in my family communication class about sex talks. Really interesting shit. Typically, studies show the more open parents are with their kids, the happier and more comfortable the kids are with their sexuality later.
Then we watched a clip from Glee. It was horrible. The dad was talking to the gay kid about sex, and then he busted out in a cover of "What, What, in the Butt."

I came out to my parents as bisexual a couple of months ago and apparently she recently read some article about the prevalence of HIV in bisexual people. Came to me and was like "uh, there's no easy way to get to this, but..."
