I've never had issues with Mesa Dual Rec's, the guitarist in a grindcore band I used to play in used a triple rec (along with a block letter 5150) and I thought it sounded great I've definitely seen my fair share of daddy bought Mesa's used in metalcore bands that sounded horrible but in the right hands they sound great. Doesn't the Singer / Guitarist in ASG use one?

And anyone that hasn't seen it on my Facebook page, here are a couple of little looping videos I did that also showed the rest of my gear. The sound quality is bad because of the microphone on my smartphone breaking up, but I was happy with them.

I think these electric cabs are the same size as a 4x12.
