I've began surrounding myself with awesome people too and dissing the ones that are actually really sucky. But I'm not THAT direct

I don't feel like cutting off communication cuz they may change in due time, but I'm not gonna talk to them regularly either

Finally got my housing situation sorted for the next year. My apartment is actually supposed to be really nice (wasn't able to see it as I'm out of state right now, my family checked it out). Considering how late it is in the summer, I'm just happy to have a good place to stay. And a 1 bedroom apartment at that. This is such a relief as a lot of you guys probably know.
Oh, and it has mirrored wall. A fucking mirrored wall.

It's equal parts cool and creepy.

Had my first year anniversary with my girlfriend yesterday, and she got me 6 Swirlies albums and a poster. A VERY GAZIN ANNIVERSARY.
I gave her every Trigun manga and the DVD set of the Tv show.
And we saw dark knight rises.
So much excellence in one day.

Just got home from seeing Jeff Mangum! Really enjoyed it, he put on a very good show and was much more engaged and talkative than I would have expected (not that I've ever watched any live clips on Youtube, so maybe that's normal). While I'm not as into Neutral Milk Hotel as I was a dozen or so years ago, it was really neat to see him live.

went out for a beer with my ex for the first time since she said her last "no" to me
it was pretty cool

we turned out to be good friends, making fun of everything we've been through together and stuff...
of course there's a little sexual tension, she's always been perfect in my eyes and i've never seen or held boobs more gorgeous

and her opinions of my dick are very well known as well

but nothing happened yesterday and we're both happily dating someone else, happy with how things turned out to be

So very happy right now.

i could probably buy one of those VM jazzys if i could handle being completely broke for a while. fuck. i need a new bass more than a new guitar, but... sonic blue...
the eternal struggle.
i keep trying to rationalize it too. like, if i just bought a carton of cigs and that guitar and filled up my gas tank and didn't go out at all i could definitely make it to my next paycheck alright.
