Ok, gonna limit myself to one suggestion per category...


If you have the stash RMs are the best boots out there. Depending on the colour and model they can even pull double service as formal shoes.

Loake make formal shoes that have a good price/quality ratio, and there are quite a few less conservative models if that's your thing.

Sneaks... Adidas ZX700. Look good with anything, comfy, plus points with sneaker heads and presumably hipsters.

RMs & Loakes look damn nice but I don't have that scratch (for things aside from fuzz...) but I'll have to lookin into those zx700s. Kinda funky.

Dr. Martens are my formal shoes. Love them. You can Wear them years...

I've been meaning to look into Martens more. I wanna find a store that has these in stock

What about Clarke's? They're a bit broad for my foot, but they're pretty nice formal-ish shoes and are a fair bit cheaper than Loakes. It's hard to tell what stuff costs, over here even crap shoes are expensive, so it's not that much of a jump to good shoes. For example, the lower priced Loakes are the same price as a pair of Air Max.

Speaking of which, get a pair of Air Max Classic BW
You can usually find em in a bunch of different colourways.


Saucony Jazz are cheap and good. And Chankgeez approved if I remember correclty.


Or you could win this thread and get some Mutombos
... and use them as formal shoes. You may need to max your irony factor to get hipster cred with them. But they are stupidly rad.

Clarke's are a good suggestion, too. They have their own little store near my parent's house.
I've wanted to try on a pair of Jazz but would have to bite the bullet and order them without trying 'em on, me thinks.

Those Nikes are just like "THE 90S IN YOUR FACE" to me haha.
But I would applaud anyone who could pull off those Mutombos well. I sure couldn't.

think i already posted these but anyway

i sadly don't have one pair of adidas right now at all
that may have to change soon


those air maxes are sweet, not 92 tailwind sweet, but still pretty cool


and saucony jazz are flipping awesome, I don't own a good pair of vintage runners right now
I have had nike 78s and 83 pegasus but they get killed after about a year because I wear em so much
