Yeah Phat Cats took a bit of getting used to for me as well. I definitely, definitely liked them after a bit of tinkering around with how high output they are. Looks so awesome

I paid 30% deposit then spend a month or so saving up the rest of the money. Works for me, I've put my full deposit in now.

I'm still waiting though, kind of cheesed but what can you do. Was quoted 15 weeks back in July I think.

Congrats on possessing the fiscal irresponsibility necessary to obtain that beautiful aluminum guitar!!! Seriously tho Mick, I think you're right on, it will be inspiring having such a drastically different and awesome guitar in your collection. Eventually, you won't even sweat the price you paid to get it.

Looks killer, I love the headstock design especially! If the body is two piece like the EGCs, could probably even move that pickup selector easy enough if you get a new pickguard machined, cover that old hole, and throw the toggle on one of the bouts maybe.

Have fun with it. Meanwhile, I'll just chill here and wait for my aluminum guitar to arrive one day in the hopefully not so distant future.....

I was literally just thinking about you when I was typing that last post, wondering if yours had finally shipped or not.

I think Kevin just says 15 weeks to everybody haha!

So my guitar is all done and I sent an email to Kev about where he could ship it, and I haven't heard anything. Oh well, I guess next week

They rework the frets to skully or just the pickups?

Frets, pickups, pickup cavity (so pickup covers could go onto the pickups), and set it up!
