Thanks guys! Thanks so much for being so supportive and interested through the year of working on it, I appreciate it! Today I sent out the pcb layout and parts info to a couple manufacturing houses for assembly quotes... that's basically the culmination of all the work, the final step, now it's ready to be made and I grind these guys for the best price! I'll have them make the pcb and do all the smd assembly, and then I'll do all the through hole stuff myself, so all the electros, sockets, jacks, relays, wires, it's a good arrangement.

It's a good balance of having the machines do the hard work (it takes me two days to make one of those Cosmichorus pcbs by hand) and me do the easy work, the through hole stuff. Keeps the cost down a bit too, I don't have to pay for all those through hole parts up front, plus through hole parts are usually done by a human even at a pcb manufacturing house so that's a big extra expense. It's all about the balance of what I can and can't reasonably do.

Yeah. Totally understandable. And its great that they give you that flexibility too. I'm sure there are other places that wouldn't want to split it up like that just to reap in those expenses

I can't wait to give this a try... especially some CV experimentation.
