As I've seen several people say, that'd be the quickest route to universal healthcare once the next election cycle rolls around. But it's gonna hurt quite a few people to get there.

Hmmm. That makes me feel a smidge better, but I somehow envision myriad ways that everybody could (and will likely) fuck it up.

The 1950's, you mean when a Republican President saw the value of investing in our infrastructure and warned us of the wasteful cronyism of the military-industrial complex?
