i was wondering who picked that up--that's my favorite of the lot that he's built and i'm surprised the original owner let it go.

Thanks for the compliments dudes!
I'm going to swap out the bridge pickup and put on some raw nickel covers and that should finish it.

Yep, like cheesecats said, it' a Dismal Ax. The guy who built the guitar designed the bridge too!

Christmas Teisco, was red yesterday, now "Ballet Slipper" pink #swag
Routed for the middle pickup, which is nicely microphonic, and also the best pickup position. No controls because fuck controls.
Need the spring/arm for the bridge. Which is made out of stamped aluminum or something, probably the same dies they used to make toy cars
Four strings because my fingers on a small neck with six is like hams dressed up in fishnet.
So tiny and cute next to the SGV, it's like a mini guitar. Really light too.

Got this guitar in a partially-complete state from colossus.
Drilled the string holes all the way through, gauged the back for string ferrules, redid the wiring, swapped out the pot from 250kB to 250kA, did the treble bleed mod, added the Glendale bridge that was going to go onto the Telemaster project, drilled strap buttons and installed them, and set the guitar up. Played around with tunings for a while. Currently it is in C, but I'm probably going to play around with it some more before I decide what to finally keep it in. Incredibly low comfortable action. I'm not used to low output pickups or the amount of brightness this thing has, but it's fucking great. Cuts through fuzz like no ones business. Added a clean boost to the front of the chain to match my other pickups' output so I don't have to tweak knobs in between guitars. I love it. The only thing I really need to do is get some brass saddles and string ferrules and it will be all set. Currently strung with Ernie Ball Heavy Bottoms, but again not sure if those will stay. I'm stoked!
