I'm going to start writing more, like, in a notebook. I feel like part of my feeling of losing touch with myself is that I stopped doing that as often as I used to. I tend to feel like more of a complete self when I do. I think it would also significantly cut down on the number of long winded monologues that I post on here late at night.
I just remember spending hours writing in notebooks in highschool and college, and I got "too busy" after. So, I'm going to crack open one that's not full and just keep it with me again.
Yeah, I've been thinking a lot about this lately as well.
So, I just wrote six pages. Just grab a notebook and start writing. I'm definitely going to be doing this more. I feel way more grounded. I guess in some regards, its a journal, but I don't like the idea of calling it something that formal. I'm going to be buying a moleskine one when I get the chance, so I can use it to draw in as well. I bought a ton of markers last summer, and haven't had much of a chance to use them since I filled my last notebook.
I feel pretty good right now.
I have such massive love for my moleskine journal/lyrics book, I find it really helps me sort out my feelings and chill out about stuff. Plus with a decent pen writing in it just feels so good.

Had a phone screen for a new job today. It must have gone well; they want me to come in for a full interview.

I fill up a book every year and find that if I go too long without writing in it I get weird too... I like to date and time stamp them so I can go back and look for patterns over the years... Sometimes I write to myself, sometimes I write everything I see around me, sometimes I write how I'm going to set up an effects pedal chain when I get home, sometimes I write daydream stories and sometimes I write to a loved one I haven't met yet...

i just discovered today that it may still be possible to negotiate a settlement with the new owner/foreclosure attorneys that would give me "thousands" in relocation expenses. i'd have to do a lot to get things in shape for it, but it'd be worth it if i could get some serious money from them.

This is why ILF is better than other music forums.

I'm going to open for Carla Bozulich's Evangelista in September. Dunno which of my bands it will be, but it will be fun any way!

WE played with her in 2010 in Newcasle England at a Culture Laboratory experiment, we got wrong as our sax/noisemaker guy nearly blew up the stage. Carla is a force of nature live, her voice is stunning
