(not sure what model Tele you have.. but...)

check out a Mastery Bridge.
I put one on my Jag when I had it... changed the guitar for the better. Big time, I have no experience with a Mastery on a Tele, though.

thinking in the TM build, i would have a bucker in the bridge using a tele bucker bridge, p90 in the neck, various switching options. black korina body, all maple on the neck

I wonder if they'd make me a tele bridge with no pickup hole..... hmmmm... maybe just maybe..... Callaham makes one for 100$, if the mastery isn't much more and I have better intonation adjustments.... it might be worth while... hmmm....

If I can fix all the issues with the Tele, including replacing the neck humbucker, I'll be looking into swapping the bridge and saddles with something more modern and versatile. So thanks for the link. I'll bookmark it for later on.

ALSO...

Ancient! I found out my buddies 810 is an Ampeg, haha. I didn't ask what the 215 was, though.

That is a very cool looking Schecter. The look is wicked.

To be honest, humbuckers are great, but they can be too woofy and dark sometimes, especially Gibson PAF style models and the myriad of clones out there. A single coil, despite its shortcomings, really is valuable. I think everyone should have a guitar with true single coils, either P90's or Telecaster singles. I'm not particularly keen on Stratocaster single-coils, but Telecasters are the shit.

Yeah - it's a really snazzy looking guitar. Methinks I'm going to start pinching pennies and try to pick one up after I buy an Elements.

I love single coils on the cleans. I think p90s are a good balance for cleans/dirt for me. If I ever do have a 'true' single coil guitar it will be a Tele like you and Skip have

i don't think humbuckers are a very good thing on a Tele compared to other options.

i'd go with P-90's because they're in between the big humbucker toanz, but you still get that Tele jangle to come through, and a tone that's more raw.

Yeah man, I find it hilarious that I've still never played through an Ampeg 810 before... haha.
Running the OR through that and the Green through the 215. Hopefully jamming this week.

Sounds sick! Make sure to take some pics, and some audio / video clips if you can. Should freaking melt some skulls!
