One of the OG's of the Gakken TRM is/was Yuri Suzuki, who has been in cahoots w/ TE for awhile now, so

I guess this is just a 2.0V, but it's still pretty ridiculous in practicality, but then again, it's probably better than that T. Bourne Burnett Ionic Original thing (::puffs on a cigarette:: hold on, lemme plug in my Heisenberg Drive).

There's also Michael Stipe's bioplastic record tech (Brian Eno alert!), which is still not a Teenage Engineering jawn, thank god?

Still anxiously awaiting any eggciting Nude Gear Announcements before we tip into 2023: the year we all peak our personal vinyl (or non-vinyl?) lathes (figuratively speakin'!).

Discrete circuit description I saw makes me wonder if they use discrete non-IC “opamp” topology like the OD-10 half-rack’s DS-1-ish mode, which was actually pretty good. (The BD-2 used similar topologies.)
