Maybe plunge router was the wrong term, ryan summit. What you showed in the picture is the kind of thing I'm shopping for right now!

Oversized 2x15. It's about the size of an oversized Mesa 4x12. I have 2 of these going at the same time.

no you were correct
what they used in the vid was a plunge base
thing with that is its a bit heavier
and for this its unneccessary
not saying it doesnt work
theres other ways to go about it for less $$$
and same results
plunge base is an add-on accessory ($100,maybe?)
if you youtube " circles router"
youll a million ways to do it
with all the different brands,sizes,jigs,etc
everyone knows the best way to do it,you know

get the 6902 with the regular base(1001?)
you can find em cheaper used on ebay or craigs
they are built like tanks and repairable
its also standard of the industry
so youll always find accessories and upgrades for it

i gotta see that router hole cutter
thanks for the colt props SLK
i hesitate cause im used to the 6902
so going from a tank to a prius scares me
but i know itll make my life easier
6902 on its side shaping 16' baseboard sucks balls
im gonna get one
colt or dewalt? (im guessing colt)

Thanks dude! This has been super helpful. I think I'll start with the 6902 as you suggest and build up accessories over time! :thumb:
