The power of the beard was in him.
I'm heading to Austin at the end of the week and then deloading next week. I'll still keep my clean weight the same (half plate), since A. any lighter and it feels like I'm not doing anything, I don't feel like my form will stick if I don't feel something, and this allows me to do a lot of reps and sweat like crazy; and B. any heavier and my form will turn back to shit.

No that makes a lot of sense, you need some kind of feedback from the bar else you will likely just muscle clean it. For example 115-135# is where I would peg a weight for myself when I wanna do lighter technique shit, anywhere from 50-60% of my 1RM

Yeah, with 65# it felt like a toy and I was afraid I was going to throw the damn thing in the air.

Ah yea then 95-115# would be a good weight for technique shit.

Poor me ... stuck in Hawaii with no free weights. Forced to do Smith Machine squats and bench. Ran 4 miles yesterday in 80 degree weather then went snorkeling and saw a bunch of humpback whales.
WOD:
Pullups - 25 reps
Dumbbell Deadlift - 50 reps x 50# db
Pushups - 50 reps
Body-Weight Squat Jumps - 50 reps
V-Ups - 50 reps
Dumbbell Push Press - 50 reps x 70# bb
Pullups - 25 reps
Off to drink beer by the pool and critique bikinis. White people problems.

Doing hammer curls with long necks, eh? Wanna trade?
Sidebar: If you get a chance go on a guided SCUBA trip. You'll spend about half an hour going over gear, breathing, etc. and you'll have a dive master or rescue diver on your tail the entire time to make sure you don't do anything dangerous. Hell, they probably won't take you below 50ft.
My DL dropped like an anchor today; went down to 335# when I'm usually doing 365# reps. That new PT who walks around in volleyball shorts probably had something to do with it.

Didn't get in any scuba but some decent snorkling. I did scuba once in the Virgin Islands many moons ago and it was amazing despite the minor panic attack from staring into the great abyss. I just know there's giant sea creatures out there wanting to eat me.
My DL fucking tanked this week as well. Warm up lifts felt great, but bad form trying to yank 340# and my back screamed at me. Can't seem to break through plateaus in bench and OHP either.

What? She was distracting.
Also, one thing that helps me break through plateaus in OHP and BP is switch between DBs and BBs.

Purrrrrrdy.
Been feeling really shit recently. I'm down to 12.9 stone and making good progress there, but I haven't worked out in weeks. Kinda scared to go back now. I need to just pick up a few weights, get a punching back and do a little bit here and there.
