Yo, so my shoes suck. My most recent sneakers (Globe, vulcanized sole) have blow out holes under the ball of my foot on both feet after one year and my dressy shoes (Dockers) are starting to wear through the soles after only having them for 6 months. Granted, I wore these shoes a lot, but its frustrating.
I want to buy a new pair of sneakers, a pair or dressy/"hipster" shoes I can use for work or otherwise, and maybe some stylish boots. But I'd really like some stuff that will last. Any brands y'all recommend for lots of durability?

Ok, gonna limit myself to one suggestion per category...
If you have the stash RMs are the best boots out there. Depending on the colour and model they can even pull double service as formal shoes.
Loake make formal shoes that have a good price/quality ratio, and there are quite a few less conservative models if that's your thing.
Sneaks... Adidas ZX700. Look good with anything, comfy, plus points with sneaker heads and presumably hipsters.

Dr. Martens are my formal shoes. Love them. You can Wear them years...

Yeah, but you're cooler than I am so you get away with wearing docs as formal shoes. I just look like a tool. With docs on. that is.

RMs & Loakes look damn nice but I don't have that scratch (for things aside from fuzz...) but I'll have to lookin into those zx700s. Kinda funky.

I've been fiending for some Doc Martens for a while now, but man, I don't really wanna be any taller. On the other hand, shit, what's another inch or so?
Also, you think it's worth the extra 40bux to get the "for life" guarantee thing?

Not worth it, they last pretty much forever anyway.
