That's not the first time that I've heard of someone using pedals, etc for a sousaphone...the man who originally formed the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has been known to run his sousaphone signal thru bass pedals and into a GK rig on a regular basis.

They baited me. I had to go set those bitches straight.

Really? An electric bass goes lower than a tuba? Fuck off. Maybe with a detuner and the B string tuned down to almost inaudible tones.

Well, strung up with super heavy strings like a knuckle works bass maybe, but a regular one? Lol, he's smoking crack rocks.

Sometimes I air-practice the chromatic scale on my air tuba.
...I kinda miss tuba sometimes.

Thank you, guys. We should start an all tuba all polka all the time band. :)*

Also....all this dumbass amp excitement I've gotten myself into and this guy came in with almost no fanfare.

Yep. I'm pretty sure these are the first run non prototype ones. I fucking won't be able to try it out for a week or so.

YESH. i think he just got (at least most of) the first batch done. Sousie's does some stuff mines doesna, like remember which channel was enabled when you power it up and a smaller amount of steps in the Step and Saw tapers. soon as me and Le Jean's schedules match up i'm s'posed to run out thar so he can switch them guts out.

ew. that sounded DIRTY.

Y U NO TRY OUT??!?

Power thing sounds like an improvement, lesser steps, eh, not sure, is it? The 16x times toe/heel seemed to make for delightful trippiness when used with the 2nd Voice or Franta.

Did they get up to offering additional tapers in place of reverse or that 3rd one that's only useful for crappy expression pedals?

It's a crazy week. Busy with work. Busy with wife. And then my rig and board are all pulled apart while I'm trying to flip everything. Just insane. I actually feel all antsy and frazzled. Usually I'm all chill and relaxed. It'll all be good in a week or so when the old rig is totally gone and the new one is solidified in front of me.

I've noticed the TL does stuff the old update didn't.....like I HATE how it keeps the settings on one bank that you use...as you flip banks. For example, if I'm on bank 1a and I change the time, the time stays changed when I move to bank 2b. It used to just reset as you switched. I know I can change that setting. Just haven't taken the time to do that yet.

you should.... you should change that. i THINK if you switch to a new patch, click it off, then click it back on it goes to the patch saved tempo? or i'm tripping balls.

Haki - they went from 16 steps to 8, and the 16 WAS hard to reproduce some wobbly things. i haven't played with the new version yet, so dunno if it's an improvement or detriment. and the Switching Out Tapers thing... i have NO idea. i think there was talk about doing that by request, but i'm not sure.
