My favorite brew your own beer was on sale for 3.99 per 2L bottle. I bought the rest on the shelf and got a rain check for 24 more bottles.

God it's so weird. The older I get, the more important family becomes to me. Not just my immediate family either. I mean family as a whole. I cherish and value them so much. I wish my stupid bothers and sisters felt the same way.

Plus I'm going to be 30 next week! Mini milestone time baby! YEAH! Life is good. Money is tight but I still couldn't be more blessed!

Congrats man! I very happy for you. And Happy Birthday as well :thumb:

jfrey wrote:The only thing I don't like is that it's being forced. You pay for insurance, or you pay a fine for not having it. If I wanted to not have insurance, it would be so I could save the money. To be honest chances are, even if I had a real choice in the matter, I'd still have health insurance. I prefer to have the choice though.

The problem with what you're saying though jfrey (the argument "I want to have the choice to not have insurance and take the risk that if something really really bad happened, that I'd be stuck with a fucking huge bill") is that it is not what actually happens. The reality is that what is really happening is that most people who don't have insurance and something really really bad happens end up not paying for it at all, and the hospitals still have to provide the care, and then the cost of that care gets spread around to everyone else that IS paying for health insurance. Paying for the health care of the uninsured is a large upward pressure on insurance premiums. Because no one can predict the catastrophic happenings, and when they do happen, hospitals are forced to care for it whether anyone pays for it or not. Forcing everyone to get insurance or pay a tax is the only way to resolve that that pressure. That is the reasoning behind the individual mandate.

Which is a mandate that will have mixed impact, this fine garbage is blown out of proportion. I would be more supportive of the health care law if it was not in a system that was broken to begin with. Just think of all the amount of people that do not pay there taxes, and some estimates are saying around 4 million americans will just pay the fine or companies staying under 50 employees to not be forced to cover everyone. It was the striking down of the mandate that states must participate in the national program that took away the real impact for any sustainable amount of change.

The definition that this is a Tax makes it a large target for the Republican Party too shoot at in order kick President Obama out.
I know for a fact that the moment Republicans take ahold of the majority in government, that it is going to be first thing they are going to do, defund the law and put us right back at square one again.

I feel that the Democratic Party did a George W Bush job of trying to explain this law. First it was not a tax, then it was again but not really a tax more of a fine per say. The mandate was the only part of the law that passed the Supreme court, and I had a feeling that the white house knew it would pass on this core base.

While something is better than nothing, this process has been a big cluster fuck due to a political climate that is the extremes of two ends.

I've been toying with a few 8bit sounds in FL Studio, trying to get something that will eventually sound like Gobble Gobble or Born Gold. I just have no idea how to do that.

Does anyone know use FLStudio, and know how to do that stuff? I'm so much better at learning how to use DAWs when I have some examples to disassemble of what I want to do. =~=

First song a friend and I've attempted to make is coming along pretty well. I came up with a good way to fit the bass in with the second half.

Really hungover, but it's because of a night well spent! Big party for my friend's birthday, everyone dressed up fancy and our band played. I can't say I remember a great deal, but it was awesome.

There's quite a chance i might get into the business :)

a) i'll be recording, mixing and mastering some material for my friend's band, possibly for his EP

b) is more important though... a friend that "knows some people" has given ma email to a production manager in this company that does production for smaller-to-bigger czech bands. If i mix the trial tracks he gives me (hopefully he'll contact me soon) well, i might get in :)

SO EXCITED
