I have been rocking KARP since the first days of my modular synth. I had a Chimera and sold it specifically to buy a DUKRPLS.

In general K-S plonks don't fizz my buttons, but with all the trash glitch going on with the Meng-Qi stuff I jump on board. I also rock his DPLPG. It turns out I'm a fan-boy of this Meng Qi character.

Since I haven't seen this topic come up in a while - how many of you are using pedals with your modular, and are you using them in the middle of things or at the end?

I have a few things I'd like to incorporate in my flow, without just sticking them after my output module (gristleizer, particle, echosystem), and I'm wondering how many of you are using stuff like the RML gpi, Ears, Sewastopol, etc. I mean, you could just do this with your mixer too, right?

Yeah. That thing is technically over my head.

It's actually really easy to use for base functionality. 6 knobs = 6 cv output values. 12 touch pads = 12 preset values for the 6 knobs. Flick a switch and it will cycle through the presets at a given speed/gate input speed.

The extra functions beyond that are nice, but not really necessary for me. Arpeggiator is nice I guess. I just like being able to change 6 things at once with a single press, but then I don't have eurorack so am totally unaware of other ways of doing that

I use them in every patch and always in the middle prior to going to the euro mixer. I mainly use the RML guitar pedal interface but have two Malekko SND/RTN that i also use if i'm bringing in more.

I use the RML GPI. And also use it to bring guitar into the synth, as well. I was actually just playing around with the guitar in using a Blinds (thanks baremountain!!) as a ring mod with a wave folded carrier. That doesn't sound so bad. I don't know of a Eurorack thing that quite does that. Reminds me of the ol' Nord modular morph groups.

I use a Sewastopol, but more so to bring instruments into modular or send modular to pedals/mixer. I haven't used it as an in/out to incorporate a pedal in the middle of a patch really.

GPI user here, I don't set up the pedals as much as I'd like but the GPI is great and compact enough that I don't feel bad about not using it all the time. Also very good for adjusting external gear to modular levels, though I use the built in Line In on my Make Noise case for that most of the time now.
That said, unless you've got an attenuator on the output of your mixer you're going to need a reamp box (I use the Saturn electronics one in my studio) to drop the modular level down to instrument level or you'll face terrible distortions in the wet channels of that Particle and Echosystem. If you've got a spare output and another spare input, a mixer with reamp should work just fine for you. You'll need 2x channels for stereo out from the Echosystem, and an extra Reamp box to process in stereo though.

Swestopol II seems like an obvious choice over the GPI.

Sebby 2 is INTERESTING.

i. LOVE modular through peds. i just don't have enough room right now to have many pedzals setup. working on re-arranging today.

Yeah it does. GPI is two less hp, and has the ability for two separate pedal loops, but Sewastopol II seems better in every other way possible.
