Actually, this thread will probably become the place for me to post my DIY projects as I have no business posting in threads with such talented people and superb craftsmanship as the DIY people on this forum.

it was a rather easy mod
step one drill tuners holes.
step two add funky old tailpiece
step three add slots to nut
step four string

The end result is my cheap ibanez bass now has more strings

I think the end result is as important as a pretty job, I've played lots of boring nice looking instruments.
