askashrub, the answer to this question will in no way effect my purchase of this pedal, but how noisy actually is it?
In the demo, it sounds a little hissy.

It can get pretty noisy.
It really depends on how it's set (most of the hiss comes as you increase the width).
I try to show all the knobs in all the places in my demos, so that will happen.
I like Joel's attitude when it comes to analog pedal noise.
He doesn't fuss with it too much, because he doesn't want to filter all the goodness away.
So yeah it can get quite hissy, but for the most part it's controllable.

Nice, thanks. That can be pretty normal for flangers.
Yeah, in theory, I agree with Joel's philosophy. In practice, sometimes I play with more gain than I should though. So, it doesn't always work out as nicely as it could.
Can't wait to try out a Warped Vinyl into the Spectre.

As always, that was beautiful, and you made me gas for something which I normally would not gas for. Huzzah!

Man. The Knobs demoes are so great.
I'm so happy that you guys have gotten into the habit of showing the knobs throughout the demo. It's great.
Fun demo, Chase is doing some very fun things.

I was just making pour over coffee to this demo and all of a sudden I don't know where 7 minutes have gone.
I do seem to have a cup of coffee though, so that's good.

I like that the whale sounds seem almost random at some settings. Sounds really, really great.

Oooh that sounds fantastic! It's been a long time since I've had such instant lust for a pedal.

Well shit, I want a second but can't justify the expense. I'll pick up another if someone flips it come January.

I cranked my res trim pot and it doesn't necessarily feedback more, but differently. Almost whale-chirpy
Spectre trim pot info:
The trim pots not labeled basically are biasing trim pots that just make the pedal not work if you move them (I'm paraphrasing)
