Especially on bass
Because people like to put other people down in an effort to feel better about themselves. Classic schoolyard bully behavior.
I'll admit it was uncalled for in the context of this thread. The videos seem thrown together to me and the frequency at which they are made and the frequency at which the pedals are bought bothers me because I actively try to avoid that consumer mindset when it comes to creativity and making music. So absolutely I have some personal bias.
Still, I'm convinced that the videos aren't exactly being made for your enjoyment even if they're being used that way. UG has relentlessly spammed just blurry pictures of his gear on /mu/ for over a year and on OSG at some point, most of the time with little to no response, and probably just to validate the insane number of purchases he's made. He's also posted animal gore in response to people berating him for doing so. I find it really obnoxious.
What is missing in your life that what some random dude posts on an internet forum affects you this deeply? If you don't like the guy or his posts simply add him to your foe list like people do to you. And also stay out of his thread that was specifically created for him to show off his gear. There is this one weird trick I use when browsing forums. When I see a thread title that has no interest to me, I don't open it. Yep, I skip right over it. Seems like a no-brainer. Additionally, as I recall, it was this community who asked him to start posting demos of his shit. So, he is giving the people what they want.
I am glad he has his own pedal demo thread. It is kinda nice. I check it frequently.
He may be hoarding towers of pedals, and will definitely garner hatahz, but at least he shares the sounds...
However, I do at some point expect a crazy half hour demo of all his pedals hooked up with leds flashing. Epic. Probably would cause roaming blackouts.

Hey now, here is the Acid Fuzz Professional mkII Tone Bender. It has an external bias knob and a tone "fat" toggle. Such a great sounding pedal.
