been too busy getting laid, sorry bro. :p

Anyway, I've gotta do an update on the Torche/Big Biz/Helms Alee show I went to over the summer with rig rundowns, and then I'm gonna close the door on that bad boy. I don't have the time or the energy to do the justice to the site.

Wednesday. Final update on wednesday.

Me: "That isn't the correct pronunciation."
Friend: "Sure it is."
Me: "How?"
Friend: "Lots of people say it like that."
Me: "How does that make it correct?"
Friend: "Because it's just a convention."
Me: "Ok, so how does it being a convention make it correct?"
Friend: "Because if enough people say it like that, then it's correct."
Me: "... I really don't see how a number of people saying something makes it correct. That just means that more people are wrong."
Friend: "Your crazy. Ask anyone, if enough people say something then it's right."
Me: "No, it's just accepted."
Friend: "Yeah."
Me: "... Yeah, what?"
Friend: "If it's accepted, then it's right."

It goes on for a while. I think I may have had three or four heart attacks.

holy crap, that conversation sounds wicked annoying,

If you follow that logic anything that a bunch of people agree with is OK
Slavery, country music, most of the worlds evils.

I wish sledge hammering people on the head for that kind of behavior/mindset is legal.

Hey, don't confuse those private school fucks (mostly from out of state) with the good people of the rest of Indiana. :thumb:

My favorites are the ND snobs who pronounce it No-trah Dame. STILL WRONG DIPSHITS, PLUS IT MAKES YOU SOUND LIKE A POMPOUS ASS.

My point is that that is how it should be pronounced. It's French. It means "Our Lady." There a big fat church in Paris that shares the same name.

Noter Dame makes it sound like you wanna go get some grits and put a confederate flag on your truck.

Oh, and the armpit thing was just that it smells. None of my comments were directed towards the people of Indiana.

Yeah, I've been to the Notre Dame in Paris. But the ND people I'm talking about don't pronounce it No-trah DAHM, the actual correct way, they pronounce it No-trah Dayme, as in "check out the gams on that dame," but with an air of private-school superiority even though it's equally wrong. THAT drives me nuts. Either get it right or just stick with the totally bastardized 'Merican pronunciation.

Smell-wise, yeah, northern IN can be rough between the steel mills, chemical plants and huge hog farms, there is no doubt. Gary/Hammond/East Chicago etc. probably actually is the armpit of America, but that's Chicago's fault - the rest of Indiana doesn't claim that hellhole. :thumb:

Yeah, finals for the next two days and in at least one class I feel very unprepared. Did we even cover that stuff...?
We didn't. Ah well.
I may or may not fail a couple of classes depending on the finals. I'm just gonna try to get a full-time job instead of going next semester. Or maybe night classes I guess.
Got 24 bucks left.
