in the last two weeks, i've been offered playing in two bands, i've been offered working as a translator and i'm working on getting my ex back

because she's the best damn girl i've ever met and i realized we were too hot headed with absolutely petty problems, that's why. And everyone who doesn't like it can basically suck it, because i feel like i'm doing the right thing. when i saw her and talked about it with her, i kinda knew i still love her. She just needs time right now - but i have nothing to lose and nowhere to rush to. She's worth fighting for

In general my current work is very non-concrete and completely predicated on people's feelings or whims.
Got to answer some questions from my old office today. and say things like

"hopefully she won't argue costs because you can't support your numbers"

it felt pretty good to play business for 20 minutes

yeah, i think this is the job where they asked for a writing sample and i gave them this total art-piece written in the style of a software manual: "Welcome to the [my name] Writing Sample! This state of the art technical writer/production artist..."

well, that went pretty well. the fellow i talked to seemed to really like me, and thought my resume was much more impressive than i do LOL. i need to dig up some writing samples to send them by the end of the week and they'll review them and schedule an interview next week. if they really, really like me it could be $37 an hour, son.

if you know what you want to do, by all means go. but be sure what you want...it's not going to be fair to her if you keep going back and forth. i know you're a good man, and you think about these things, but i just need to reinforce that she's in a very vulnerable position, and part of our job in relationships is to take care of the ones we love.

I think I'm going to start brewing my own beer, if I can find a cheap carboy locally. I know that I've seen them in thrift shops, so I figure I'll look around and just sanitize the hell out of it if I find one.
