The whole Mother Trilogy is worth playing front to back.
Also, Mother 3 has been translated to English by some crazy fans.

And I was all "Aww, don't be like that baby, how much could you be?" and it was all "$50 plus tax." and then I said "Suck my dick." And it said "For fitty dolla." And I said "Fuck you." Then I bought Virtua Fighter 4 and MGS3 for $10 and forgot my change.

Rogue Galazy, Dark Cloud, and Shadow Hearts are also on my list. Then of course there's the obligatory Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts.

Okami's a pretty badass crossover action-rpg ala Zelda.
