You should write a bad song with bad metaphors about how that post made you feel. Maybe start with an uninspired arpeggio or two. :p

Speaking of Prince, that dude needed no metaphors.

Haha totally. Get Up Kids, Saves the Day, shit like that... to me that's where the previously fairly loose genre took a turn and everything started sounding alike, plus all of the exaggerated stage moves, impassioned "my girlfrieeeeeeeaaaaaand" singers, et al. Hate it.

Whatever, though—different strokes, man!

I agree! Diff'rent strokes.

The funny thing is, and DO NOT get me wrong, I love all the second-wave, Midwest stuff, but... I would have said that TGUK, STD, Brand New and the other Long Island bands, that that was when a scene that had been relatively homogeneous started to diversify! It's funny how people can disagree not only on whether they like something or not but also on the actual sonic characteristics of the music.

Okay, you've got to listen to Say Anything's ...is a Real Boy. That's the best, um, "new emo"

That and mewithoutYou's first three albums or so

FUCK, I used to play this all the time in late high school and early university.

Chris Carrabba in this game is perfect.

Also, fuck Steven Tyler. This game made me hate him so bad LOL

What song?
Beat me to it! Like... how could you know in 15 seconds?

As far as that goes I've fallen in love with a few of their songs in 15 seconds, so.
top contradiction of 2016

I mean it is and it isn't -- loathe as I am to defend cc -- because if you're really into a band incredulity at someone not liking them is a fairly natural response.

I'm not saying it's not retarded I'm saying it's not uncommon.
