I don't know why anyone would complain about pedal demos. I always want more pedal demos.

Especially on bass :D

Because people like to put other people down in an effort to feel better about themselves. Classic schoolyard bully behavior.

Hey, here is the Face Lift from Prescription Electronics. It's a germ fuzz face(of sorts) with octave stomp. Sweet :joy:

man, that is so gnarly! I like that you can use the octave seperately. Good stuff man.

Yeah, it only has a small range of good sounding fuzz but that good sounding zone is pretty great I think. I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the octave up can be used on its own, to stack with other pedals etc. the octave up also works all over the fretboard, not just above the ninth fret. Cool pedal.

That is such a great dual pedal, all hell breaks loose with both engaged and everything maxed!

I'll admit it was uncalled for in the context of this thread. The videos seem thrown together to me and the frequency at which they are made and the frequency at which the pedals are bought bothers me because I actively try to avoid that consumer mindset when it comes to creativity and making music. So absolutely I have some personal bias.
Still, I'm convinced that the videos aren't exactly being made for your enjoyment even if they're being used that way. UG has relentlessly spammed just blurry pictures of his gear on /mu/ for over a year and on OSG at some point, most of the time with little to no response, and probably just to validate the insane number of purchases he's made. He's also posted animal gore in response to people berating him for doing so. I find it really obnoxious.

UG got a lot of hate here too when he first joined due to his reputation on other forums. But he put up with it, listened, proved himself, and is now posting within the rules here.
And of course he gets enjoyment from the videos he posts. I get enjoyment from the videos I post. And I'm sure the other forum members with their own demo threads do too. That being said a lot of other forum members also enjoy UG's demos because they're typically pedals that are unobtainable to the rest of us. If you don't like them or don't like the amount that are posted just don't follow the thread.
Also I'm frankly just impressed with the amount of pedals UG can acquire. Seriously UG how do you afford this? Do you rob banks?

My theory is Lottery winner.

And I support UG and his thread. I haven't been on /mu/ in years. I think 4chan makes everyone terrible. So I can overlook that.

As soon as I get my recording setup all worked out, I'm gonna do demos so everyone can hate on me too :D
