Don't know anything about the cabinet, but have heard good things about EV's.

It's gotta be better than the 212 guitar cab i've been using but I never even knew gibson made bass cabs or cabs for that matter. I think I might jump on this though.

You'll more than likely want to pair it with the 2x12 for a bit more high end

Since it's rear ported it'll most likely do better against a wall. And yeah it looks pretty awesome

Well I sent him an e-mail. Does rear ported refer to the small holes in the corners or the part in the middle where the jacks are? If its the middle part then the other cab would also be "rear ported".
