 For what it's worth, hospice made Grammaw's death about as good as it could have been really, and she was able to die peacefully at home like she always wanted. She had the most awesome nurses in the world. So much love. And myself, my wife, and my parents were all able to spend a lot of time with her at the end.

But here's the kicker. Grammaw smoked for 75 years before she quit on a whim, at 88 years old. Last year at 91 she was diagnosed with lung cancer. Things were going fine physically speaking, but she broke her hip on Valentine's Day and couldn't recover. CT scan showed that her lungs were clear, WTF.

Amazing woman, strongest person I've ever met. Taught me so much about life, and she continues to do so. :joy:

yah! those are the ones i use. they DO take up more room than the George L/Lava stuff though. so like small space with loopers or whatever can get tight. but they goooood.

Well she's dead now  but I wrote a song 'bout it like to hear it here it goes:

I'm developing a death theme lately, unfortunately not metaphorically. First my fish, then Grammaw, and also my wife's uncle.

2012 can suck it so far. Somebody call the waaaaaaaaaaaahmbulance! :poke:

At least fuzzlife has been good this year. Oxide, Double Germ Assmaster, and now a Tentacle Love Super-Fuzz.

Also considering a Frantabit. COPING THROUGH NOISE, IT FUCKING WORKS gOD DAMMIT. :joy:

BCBC, I went with a TC E Vortex. Local dude wants to do a Tool/Perfect Circle cover band. Was looking for something that gets that Boss sound but looks better on my board.....VVVVAAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNN. Guess I'll find out, tomorrow, but I had a nice coupon at Prymaxe and can flip it for what I got it. Fuck. That Strymon Orbit looks damn interesting. The Timeline is so bitching it makes me want to look at their other stuff. But I can't justify more than $100 on a flanger.

And there will be pics, nad. Oh there will be pics.

The Vortex did some cool stuff, but I found that it was hard to hear much effect on my bass unless I ran some dirt before it. I find that the DOD kills the Boss, but if it's a vanity thing, then the DOD looks even less cool than the Boss, so that won't help too much. ;)

I love the Hartman and Toadworks Barracuda for fancy flangers.

Truly sorry to hear of each of y'all's losses...I miss my grandma terribly; she dies at 104, and I'm absolutely positive that she woke up dead and said, "hang on...I'm not DONE yet!"

Yeah.....if I were going to go fancy I would totally check out the Barracuda. Shit needs to get Timeline or Poly-grace levels for me to go that expensive, though. Like...it can't just sound better....it needs to do unique things that blow me away. Which maybe it or the Orbit does....I just dunno about it, yet.

As for the Boss.....they just fugly. Like totally fucking ugly. And it would be the ONLY sore spot plastic looking thing on my board. Which I could overlook if it were head over heels above the competition....but I would gladly pay a little extra to keep my board looking good if my it sounds close. We'll see. Ultimately I can flip the Vortex for what I got it....but the Boss is a last ditch effort since it is so fugly cheap looking.

How people mistake BOSS pedals for cheap and plasticy looking is beyond me. :idk:

I've seen some "booteek" pedals that look like Western Family Ramen Noodles in comparison. For sure BOSS sucks for Fuzz and Distortion (I actually did like my SD-2 Dual OD,...but not enough to keep it),...but nothing sounds like an OC-2 and I think they deserve some credit for their more utilitarian offers (I swear by my LS-2 probably one of the best overlooked pedals on the market, takes an underwhelming pedalboard and turns into an expressive and musical instrument,...I had two at one point). I think they also deserve some credit for fitting some good modulation circuits into small packages. The DD series as well as the RV-5,...the PH-3 (potentially an inexpensive albeit limited Bass MuRF alt.) as some examples.

My OC-2 is 30 years old and while it may be quirky the thing fires up every time. Built Like a Mother Fucking TANK.

Not knocking you MSUTuba,....as it is all subjective . And while the aesthetic may seem cheap to you; BOSS pedals are far from poorly engineered.

 for all the lives lost. Keep your sticks on the ice.

Behndors,...if you are running a TBP Loop Switcher,...that is legitimate solution to limited space and this fits here but that's not how it's routed in the sig chain. It may be simple on the TBP loop if you source (or solder up) cables with right angle plugs on the end that plug into the pedal and straight plugs for the ends that plug into the switcher. Not sure how your setup is as I don't think I've seen a current pic of your pedalboard.

Eventually I'd like to move to one or two Voodoo Labs PedalSwitchers and Pedal Commander. Everything in it's Right Place in the sig chain with the Switchers,...then I can control single loops for single stomps or multiple loops via Midi through the Pedal Commander. That would make it possible for me to run a floor board and a KB stand board and still be able to activate the KB stand board via stomp switching.

I posted these vids before, no one seemed to notice; but they are totally worth checking out.

Not saying they're poorly engineered....they're just ugly as shit as LOOK poorly engineered. It's like Whoopi Goildberg. She's cool as shit. Was never really hawt but during Star Trek days had a charm about her. And then you have someone like Megan Fox. Somebody that's REALLY hot but so fucking stupid I really wouldn't hit that shit. I'm a sensitive kinda guy like that. If it's between Whoopi and Megan, I turn off the lights and go with Whoopi. But if there's a flanger out there as cool as Whoopi but as hot as Fox, I'd pay a little extra to put that on my board.

You know that Whoopi would give way better helmet.

Megan is probably boring, and there's no way she swallows.
