That Overdose (new company out of Europe (The Netherlands) building hand built, custom made speaker cabs for bass and guitar) is based on the cab that Verellen sold with the Meatsmoke a while ago. 2x15+2x10. Difference with this one is that it's a sealed enclosure and that the 15" are in it's own compartments. Tight and focussed, but still massive low end.

Holy Schnikes wrote:My Decolonizer arrived yesterday, sounds fucking great! Clean channel with 'mid-scoop' mod for dual voicings (Plexi and Fender), achieved with a push/pull Gain knob, plus a 3-way bright switch. Tons of versatility here, makes for a dreamy pedal platform.

Dirt channel is dual mode as well with an OD ranging from clean-ish to beefed up JCM800 and a high gain that goes all the way into Bogner XTC/Soldano territory. Screams! Has a really nice low-mid presence too, lets it sound totally girthy without getting too bassy and loose. Again, lots of versatility in this channel.

I really love the look of Alex's amps too, just gorgeous inside and out. The faceplate and rear panel were done up in a sexy Slate Bronco/Levant tolex I tracked down, turned out killer.

That is slick looking. Never heard of these amps but will have to check them out.

Got rid of the 5150 to get this Sundown Rebel 100. This thing is loud and weird, just how I like it.

Very nice, congrats! I'd most definitely put that in a headshell too, save your back. :thumb:

Does it still have 7072a power tubes? Then current production 7072a is kinda shitty so if you're ever looking to convert the power tube section/bias resistors go with the KT88s. They sound so fucking good in my V2. So good! I can only imagine they crush in a V4/VT-22.

The main reason to pull it isn't so much my back but that it'll spend most of its time on bass duty pushing 15s. The weight is a nice side benefit though. At ~100 lbs getting the motherfucker into my car then down into the basement was not a nice time.

Still has 7027a tubes, yes. Looks like all the tubes are original still or at least from the era. Not quite sure which direction to go if I change them but I've already got a 4xKT88 amp so not really looking for that. Maybe EL34s?

I went with 6550s for my V4, and it sounds fantastic! I really love the sound I get from pushing it to it's max, breaks up and fuzzes so fucking nice.
