I just got a $1500 check from my school and I don't know why.
And I go on vacation tomorrow. Downloaded a metric ass ton of books to read while I'm sitting around doing nothing on a beach for 2 weeks.

I was telling my girlfriend earlier, I'm glad that I've made a lot of the mistakes I've made in my life. While I think that they were all really dumb choices, I'm glad that they happened, because I know who I want to be now. Those stupid things have really helped me to figure that out.
And now I'm sure that along with knowing who I want to be, I'm ready to start
being that person. I'm ready. I'm have goals, and plans, and I'm not going to let myself, or my insecurities, or my fears stop me from doing those things. I'm not going to let myself be miserable over something that isn't the only way.
I'm awesome, and I'm ready to start being more awesome.

I hate playing solo shows, but I feel like they are some of my best. Since we don't have a "mildly inconvenienced but ultimately ends up ok" thread, I'll leave this here

I played my first open mic in a long while. Really, it was my first time playing in front of people in months.
It was alright.
