As someone wise pointed out to me, it may be cool in combination with other instruments, or pedal chains or whatever. But I entirely agree, when it comes to using it on guitar, why not just put that $380 towards a guitar with a trem

right? also ironic that the dude in the demo is playing a tele, on which you could easily install the real thing for much less than $379
my personal gripe though is that it looks utterly painful to use without shoes on

there's that. but i was so programmed to be insulated after getting a couple of nasty zaps in the teeth back when the ground flip switch on Fender amps was a thing that i'm still terrified of not wearing shoes when i'm that close to 120V. i usually wear them when playing in the living room too because those switches fucking hurt otherwise when i step on them.

this was also pointed out to me. on an electric piano or organ it would be sick, and it could be a lifesaver if you're playing electric 12-string. the only drawback to keyboards for me is the lack of note-bendability. but $379? that's gonna be a "no" from me, dawg.

Can’t you still get three (or maybe four if you’re lucky) PS-5s for that kinda money? I’m still seeing deals on the Whammy Ricochet, which is pretty good quality polyphonic shifting. Either of those and $200 plus in cash left over seems better to me. I also passed on the Plus Pedal because it seemed like a more expensive, more gimmicky Freeze, so maybe I’m missing out.

Never underestimate the appeal of something that looks nifty, I guess. I fell for it once, with the Coppersound Telegraph Stutter, but at least that only cost me $50 or something. I keep thinking about this air-compressor compressor pedal idea, though. What other ridiculous concepts could they try? Maybe a fancified version of the fidget spinner tremolo, with a treadle that allows you to control the speed mechanically, like an old pre-electric sewing machine. Or a pitch shifter that changes the pitch by hurling your amp away from you at great speed.

Red Panda has confirmed the Raster 2 is almost ready.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CRUZXKsNcoX/
While designing the Raster 2, we wanted to enable as many classic rack mount digital delay tricks as possible while keeping the fast and intuitive control that made the original Raster so fun to use.
All of the parameters are always available, so you can mix and match different effects and explore new sounds in between.
Shipping late summer.
There should be more details shortly os the Venture Series and what the Syntax 2 will entail.

I’m hoping the v2 Raster sounds better than the v1. The initial v1 demos were just bad, IMO—made me uninterested in the pedal, so I don’t even know if they fixed it in updates. And delay with pitch tricks usually interests the hell out of me.

If I remember correctly, the very first pedals that went out to demoers were actually not in tune.

That’s right. Just horrid. But they got better before they went on the market. Some later demos actually seem fine or much better. Okay, paying attention now.
