:idk: This seems rather pricey for a non-MIDI dirt/octave box. Also, I have to ask: do the French really put lime on steak? I don't eat dead moo moo, but that one's new to me. :idk:

Sounds great but yeah pricey and huge!

I have been to France a lot and I don't think I've ever seen lime on a steak  But... who knows :animal:

I've made steak tacos before with steak marinated in lime juice, jalapenos, and cilantro, but I wouldn't normally put lime on a steak

yeah this sort of thing is what I started thinking of when I pondered. It could be great.

It was pretty tasty, but kind of ruined the cheap ground beef tacos that we used to make. Now we only make steak or shrimp tacos

Skirt steak is usually cooked as fajitas, and lime-based marinades help break down the tougher cut of beef.

Wait, nobody here's been to a Chili's in the last century? :idk:

Even Pam has!

Also, the Glou Glou sounds tres bien (French for "great crepes"), as usual, but that sticker prix

Gotta hand it to em 4 the consistency, tho :hobbes:

I don't know what a Chili's is and I stopped eating meat years ago so my knowledge is uh, yeah. I just like talking (which I'm sure nobody has noticed)

Although aesthetically pleasing, those cases have got to go...just massive.

Had a Pralines for awhile and loved it but couldn't get it on my board. Do the French not have an equivalent saying to "It's not the size that matters but the motion of the ocean"? :idk: :idk: :idk:

I wonder what the numbers are like. The site said he would have two available in a month and then "full production" so if that 4 year timeline is based on building a few a month then he'll probably only end up selling a small portion of that wait list because people will lose interest. When you have a 4 year wait on a product its time to change your business model and dramatically ramp up production to take advantage of that interest or raise prices until demand more closely meets supply. Considering that similar noise devices from companies like Folktek are sometimes in the thousands of dollars I was pretty surprised that this is a $250 instrument. I think that price is fair but noise instruments often seem to be disproportionately expensive relative to their usefulness and versatility.
I definitely agree with this. I think I would be looking into ramping up production if I was them. I feel like if they up'd the price, there'd be a fair number of people that would lose interest - I am definitely mostly interested because of the price - and like you mentioned, there's not too many similar devices in this price point.
Gentrification is even a thing in our obscure gear hobby now (see also the rate, mere seconds, at which the recent original batch of anniversary CT5s and DRolo's latest batches sold out). 2020 brings us more stuff to be displeased about every month so far.

Also, DBA Rooms sounds nice but in Europe it's about $500, wtf is up with that?!

Same, but without a synth, just my mouth.
