Ooooo input jack. Not signing up to a waitlist though
yeah this sort of thing is what I started thinking of when I pondered. It could be great.MrNovember wrote:I've made steak tacos before with steak marinated in lime juice, jalapenos, and cilantro, but I wouldn't normally put lime on a steak
It was pretty tasty, but kind of ruined the cheap ground beef tacos that we used to make. Now we only make steak or shrimp tacoscoldbrightsunlight wrote:yeah this sort of thing is what I started thinking of when I pondered. Although aesthetically pleasing, those cases have got to go...just massive.echorec wrote:This seems rather pricey for a non-MIDI dirt/octave box. Also, I have to ask: do the French really put lime on steak? I don't eat dead moo moo, but that one's new to me.

Gentrification is even a thing in our obscure gear hobby now (see also the rate, mere seconds, at which the recent original batch of anniversary CT5s and DRolo's latest batches sold out). 2020 brings us more stuff to be displeased about every month so far.MrNovember wrote:I definitely agree with this. I think I would be looking into ramping up production if I was them. I feel like if they up'd the price, there'd be a fair number of people that would lose interest - I am definitely mostly interested because of the price - and like you mentioned, there's not too many similar devices in this price point.whoismarykelly wrote:cantremember wrote: Damn! I thought it said 12 months when I looked, that is definitely crazy. I signed up for the waiting list and will most likely not care about it in 4 years.I wonder what the numbers are like. The site said he would have two available in a month and then "full production" so if that 4 year timeline is based on building a few a month then he'll probably only end up selling a small portion of that wait list because people will lose interest. When you have a 4 year wait on a product its time to change your business model and dramatically ramp up production to take advantage of that interest or raise prices until demand more closely meets supply. Considering that similar noise devices from companies like Folktek are sometimes in the thousands of dollars I was pretty surprised that this is a $250 instrument. I think that price is fair but noise instruments often seem to be disproportionately expensive relative to their usefulness and versatility.MrNovember wrote: I believe they've been updating the website as the list gets longer. It was definitely only 1 year long when I signed up. They might want to start thinking about closing that waitlist; 4 years is nuts
Same, but without a synth, just my mouth.qersty wrote:that kinda sounds like the faux synth sounds i used to make on my zoom pedal as a kid
