Updated rig. Two Micro Black Death synths, Skychord Deses Parva, and a Trogotronic 666.

It is a rad piece of kit. I love it as an effect though it is perfectly capable as a standalone synth. If you have the scratch and are in to the insane sounds it can produce, I'd definitely recommend picking one up.

I guess the problem is that I also kindof need a, uh, "proper" synth and I really can't afford to get something like a Dark Energy 2 (or a Minibrute, or the upcoming Mini MS-20) and a 666. Not for a while, at least. Hmmm.

I was going to say yeah if you do get a 666 you want euro rack. if your into DIY its not that hard to make something similar based on the detailed product description. its the typical stuff you find in the lunetta forums.

doepfer bus board? so you have an external AC power supply? what are you planning to expand it with? if you can only have one VCO/LFO in small system you want uLFO. you could also just finish the whole thing in DIY for cheap if you just want to make noise and don't need it to stay in tune.

I've been planning 2 different routes I could go:
A: Pittsburgh Modular Generator + Noise/Random + output and done
B: Trogotronic 666 + Multiples + Ring Mod + output and done

Kind of leaning towards the latter, because I really could just get away with a Trogotronic 666 Euro + multiples for a long while and be completely happy

pits generator seems interesting and dense. I would avoid the ringmod but thats just me. I know you can diy the output module and multiples. your going to run out of room so just stick the multiples, attenuator and output jacks in a box on the side. you don't need power for your add-on euro box. I highly suggest you get this little sequencer that also has a noise source. http://www.thonk.co.uk/shop/music-thing ... encer-kit/ then you can get the 666 OR the pits and a euro mixer + multiples in one module. I found deep 1/4 jacks you could use to mount the outputs on the wood on the side. you could DIY the mixer with outs connected to the side of the box. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdet ... er=092-126

Yeah, I definitely plan on DIY'ing the multples instead of paying $30 for a few jacks. Going to make a box (probably 1590DD) that has a bunch of multiples an attenuators in it

Looked into the kit but it seemed to be out of stock

I should also mention that I'll be using my Moog Low Pass as the VCF, and making a DIY format jumbler pannel so I can patch the Moog into the Modular on the pannel.

So here is what I'm thinking:

Trogotronic 666
6 HP blank pannel to use as the format jumbler for the VCF/Moog
1590DD Box for multiples and attenuators

And I mean, the Moogerfooger has an Envelope out that I can use via a multple to send to different parts of the Trogotronic's CV which should yield some interesting results. It would be cheaper if I just went Trogotronic -> Moog -> DIY Multiples and attenuators -> Ouput for the time being
