Wow, Danny, that's awesome! Congrats buddy! Start doing YouTube walkthroughs now, I'll watch 'em all! *smile* I"d love an SSD too, very cool rig there, sir.

All those games you mentioned are cool.. you're gonna be busy for the next year playing them all!

Ahh, I'd love to, but I'm too haphazard of a player. Sometimes I'm so methodical that I forget to have fun and play the game. Sometimes I'm too aggressive and forget to check everything. I don't know if I'd be fun to watch.

There are a ton of indie games I want to play as well that I've missed being solely a console gamer for the last two years. There are so many more than their used to be when I bought this current PC four years ago.

I love the indie games too, they're so unique and interesting, sometimes terrible sometimes incredible, they're a super fun adventure.

Slow time lately for games but March will be nuts..

One new game I've been watching demos and previews for that looks really cool is Evolve.. it's a 4v1 team monster fight where there's no npcs, all players, and it's really finely tuned for difficult battle.. looks like an amazing boss fight over and over with your pals, should be fun!

I've been really into a really old game lately, Eternal Darkness.. it's an old GameCube game, maybe 15ish years old, based on the Lovecraft mythos, very Eldritch and awesome. You guys remember it? I'm blown away by the vibe and theme and visuals and sanity effects!

Yeah, I remember Eternal Darkness! I think WatchMojo on Youtube listed it in their top ten scariest video games. I can't PLAY horror games, but I LOVE watching them.

Eternal Darkness was the reason I had a Gamecube. I love how much it messed with the player. More games should do that. Or at least have characters that break the 4th wall and address the player directly.

Got a PS4 a couple weeks ago. Not bad! I only have the new Killzone for it and finished the campaign in a weekend. Haven't tried multiplayer yet. Different feel than the other Killzone games, a bit more like the Uncharted games; more story oriented. The gunplay is pure Killzone though. Not sure if you guys enjoy that series though.

Anyone play the single player Last of Us DLC yet? Just finished downloading it but haven't had a chance to play it yet. Looking forward to it though.

Haha, there's no way...
*looks up Eternal Darkness*
Released: 2002
OH MY GOD WHAT
I...I squandered my youth on video games...

Anyway, that game was awesome. I never finished it because it scared me too much back then.
I read about the bathtub scene by accident before playing the game, but it never entered into my mind until I was walking around and hit "examine" on the tub. And then I dropped the controller and made my friend play.
The sanity effects were great, and I loved the combat system with its locational damage. I think the green magic was the easiest to progress with. The farthest we ever got was in some church where my friend got stomped on by some old gods.

Cool! What a game hey! I really love the Lovecraft mythos, I wish there were more games that played on this as it's really cool and scary and I love how it brings in the universe and ancient ones and just all of it, awesome. The sanity effects were so neat and well done too, they were really surprising. The 4th wall breaking ones ruled so hard! One time the guy's screen goes black and it just says MUTE in green in the top right corner, like old tvs used to do...so funny. One time it pretended to delete all his saved files, also saw a fake power-off of his system and tv, such a cool element to the game.

Congrats! I'm gonna watch some of the Last of US DLC tonight, the game was a cool experience, really well done.

Yeah, it was released on Friday. It's the only single player DLC Naughty Dog has ever released. If it's anywhere near the quality of the game, it should be a good time.

Well, Jerrod, how did you like the DLC? It wasn't what I was expecting I think..

I'm really excited for 4 games to come out, first is Dark Souls 2 in a couple weeks.. gonna rule. Also Witcher 3, Hellraid, and South Park... what are you guys waiting on right now?

Gahhhhhhh I won't have any money for Dark Souls 2 when it comes outtttttt...
But...but by the time I get it, maybe they'll have patched out the kinks in the PC version. That, or it will be overrun with cheaters and dudes who are on SL5 New Game Plus X8 characters, like in the first game.
Hopefully not, though

Actually haven't had the chance to play it yet, Ryan. Been too busy with work, guitar playing, and hanging out with the wife. Picked up a Temple Audio Design pedalboard (T34) from the Soundhouse in Red Deer two weeks ago and have been tinkering around with setting it up just right. Loving the board so far! Might get to the DLC this weekend, thought I would start it tonight but it's not looking good.

The games I'm looking forward to right now are Dark Souls 2, Thief, The Order, and possibly the new Infamous. There are a couple other ones too but I can't think of them right now.

I should probably get to playing the first Dark Souls before I play the new one though. It's just been sitting on my game shelf calling to me but I'm a bit worried because it's big brother (Demon's Souls) made me its bitch.

The Witcher 3, most definitely. But to be honest, I'm looking forward to Titanfall the most. I wasn't that fussed when I heard about it last year, but with the beta being so awesome, I will get in on that for my PC. It could be my next 'daily driver'. Call of Duty, Halo, Counter Strike, these were all past 'daily drivers' that I played almost every day just to chill out and wind down. Titanfall looks like it could be the next one. I got back into the first Black Ops on the PS3, but I'm open to change. ;)
