l-r: 70s Ibanez ric 4001 clone (dead on replica except for 1 truss rod rather than 2), Tele Custom (built around a 70s Ibanez body), 1966 Hagstrom II, 65/75 Fender Mustang (built from mainly vintage parts), 60s 'Winston' parlour acoustic, strung with ball end nylon strings.

I covered the top with floral wallpaper; adhered it on, then used an exacto knife to trim it to fit. The sticker is a 1936 'Landon and Knox' campaign decal. The original tuners were useless, so I put some Grovers on that
were lying around. The nylon strings are great because these guitars were designed as entry level acoustics for kids (made by teisco and their peers), so with these you can file the bridge+nut down and get the action nice
and low without any buzzing. Here's another pic:

How's the Hagstrom play? I've always thought those particular models looked pretty killer.

they advertised these as having 'the fastest necks in the world'. If fast means thin then I'd have to agree. The necks are like toothpicks, but still really comfortable (imo of course). You can get the action super low
without buzzing. The string spacing is a little tight, but you get used to it. The vibrato is really great, similar to a jazzmaster. I put a set of 12's on and tuned it to C#, and it sounds like doom surf now. The only complaint is
that it's really frustrating to intonate the bridge, as the saddles are held in by two opposing set screws. You have to loosen one and tighten the other to get it to move forward or backward, and there isn't a lot of travel. If you
can find one for under $500 I'd say go for it.
