i don't really enjoy it per se, but it works for the purpose for which it's prescribed. which i guess means that i like it.

I enjoy it and I get it prescribed for sleep. Meow. But good for you for not going in the worse direction that some of us do(i.e. prescription drug abuse). Meow.
I'm slowly gaining more comfort in the desparate sadness of my current situation. Meow.

Sometimes you just have to say "fuck it".

the point i'm at--again--is battling against the several different kinds of "fuck it" that could destroy me. there's suicide, which has been whispering in my ear for thirty years, and which i've finally realized is as close as any chemistry house that sells hydrogen cyanide; there's letting go to madness; and there's the new predilection for alcohol i've just discovered which snuck right up on me and which i'll now have to beware for the rest of my life. not melodrama...my whole family are alcoholics. i always thought i was immune because i don't really like the stuff, but i just needed to be depressed enough, all alone, and have it around.
i'm going to try and let go, no matter what happens. unless i decide to say fuck it and spend the tax refund i'll be getting from my incredibly late 2010 tax return, which i'm filing next week, to have the whole order overturned.

"Meow" is probably the best option.

of course, it's entirely possible that simply threatening to go back into court will make her see reason.

ayahuasca or sth similar? if you feel like you've got nowhere else to go and nothing to lose, I would just go and explore, what the hell.

My girlfriend is a geobiology major (which really just sounds like paleontology to me, but whatever) so she's really into rocks and stuff. Turns out there's a rock and mineral specimen distribution warehouse a few miles from campus and some of my geology-inclined friends are going to a half-off sale of theirs, so I'm like, alright, I'll come along and buy my girlfriend a couple pretty rocks for her collection as part of her Christmas present. This required my getting up at 8 a.m. on a Saturday. After spending an hour or so wandering through this warehouse and searching through shelves and shelves and more shelves of rocks, I found a couple really cool looking ones that were all shiny and rainbow-y and stuff and this one really pretty sparkly one in my girlfriend's favorite color.
So I go up to the checkout area and the guy who rings me up is this really huge guy (like 6' 4" and morbidly obese huge) in a hideous Hawaiian shirt. He starts asking me stuff about why I'd picked out those particular rocks, and I was just like, "Oh, I don't actually know anything about rocks, I just thought these ones were pretty." And he's like, "Well you know, those two (the ones I'd spent the longest picking out and thought were super cool) actually have man-made coatings, they're not natural. Now THIS (points at a fancy super expensive rock on his desk) is what a good specimen looks like."
FUCK YOU, I TRIED
I TRIED SO HARD

Rock snobs, that's a new one.
I have seven possible rock jokes but I'll spare you.
FYI, a Google search for "rock jokes" results in a lot of bad jokes too.

My favorite:
"Watson: Holmes! What kind of rock is this!
Holmes: Sedimentary, my dear Watson."

If your friend doesn't know exactly what the cats look like, just get three similar looking cats and act like the old ones were never taken away.
