Got a four day weekend that will entail one of my buddies' bachelor parties tomorrow, followed by a hungover drive down to NYC and then all the way out to the other end of Long Island for a sunday Memorial Day party with my in-laws, followed by two days of sitting on my ass and accomplishing nothing, then returning Tuesday night for band practice. Fuck yes.

Been talkin' with the lady about using an herbal remedy to help with her migraines and my anxiety.
So, when she's comfortable, that might start again.

Just saw Duke Special, and he was frickin rad as always. I did not expect wicked sub-bass synth at a Duke Special show, and was
pleasantly surprised!

Got to listen to the 60s station all day at work today. They were celebrating the Beach Boys 50th anniversary. My whole shift was nonstop surf rock. It was awesome.

Today was the last day of my practicum, which was the last requirement of my degree. So I'm done with school! And I've had a few beers, and a good jam with my buddy earlier, so it's been a good day.

Thanks, it feels pretty good to be done. Now I just need to find a job... and truth be told chances are I'll probably go back for my master's of librarianship in a year or two.

First gig went well, not perfect, but some songs were just spot on, y'know? My new amp sounded soooooo good. Then we went and wrote a new song that is fucking amazing and goes from Moving Units-esque dance-punk to a sludge-funk breakdown based on my oscillating Fuzzler+. I'm so happy I found band mates who aren't turned off by my crazy noise.
