The Lonestar is actually the amp I have the most experience with. When I started playing my guitar-teacher dude was a full-fledged metalhead who lived locally and also ran a business building awesome guitar cabinets (Burgs uses them in his demos!). This was way back when. Anyway; he had a Mesa endorsement and my two favourite amps of his was the new'ish Lonestar that he got and an older Subway Blues (it was a small 2x10" thing!). I learned to play through the Lonestar so it's a good reference-point amp. My current amp is a 60-watt fucking monster that punishes 100watt HiWatts, Marshall whatever RIs, etc. so it's just too much man for me. It's got like fucking 10 or 11 tubes including tube-reverb fucking ridiculously well constructed and I'll miss it for sure but I have other amps that do the volume/headroom thing and I just need something to jam at home and was finding it difficult to find a clean amp that I actually liked and could afford financially. It worked out really well with this and I shouldn't be out anything if I go about things the right way which shouldn't be important and usually isn't but I need the $$$'s to pay for an iPad for my mum she's going into hospital for a while and it's hit me pretty hard so I'm trying to also organise that I replace her crappy Kindle with a better device be it an iPad 1 w/ 3g or whatever so she can at least listen to music and read books (I also need to find an ebook torrent that she'd like ). Now if only I could download me an iPad the world would be fkn perfect and I could maybe look at getting a Celestion Gold for the new amp and some new pedlulz hahaha.
