I was thinking Klonman - maybe I should...ask Chank?

Anybody here into Longhorns? This seems pricy, but I really like this Hondo:

The last Hondo I saw was around $400, but I'm surprised there are a few out there for $800!? Original longhorns are also going for like $2/3k and more easily, so I guess this is growing up

Hondos are hella dodgy quality-wise, $850 is nuts. A few hundo more and some diligence could get you a Jerry Jones, which are as nice as it gets.

I once almost bought a Hondo copy of a Coral Firefly. Kickin' myself since. Don't think I've ever seen another.

Hondo used to be a name to kick mud on - now they seem pretty nice, well, Hondo IIs especially....
They do a pretty nice looking copy of the Howard Roberts Fusion (I hear they're heavy, though)

So.. I'm almost at the point of putting together the real pedalboard for my new setup.. It's Time to ditch the pedaltrain..

Here is my issue... do I have another board case made to the size/layout I am working on or just say screw it and use one I already have that is on the big side... [20"x41"] even if I have scrunched the setup into the pt pro size [16"x32"] with a small satellite 7"x9" looper board... so a real big board I already have or 2 new boards that will look cooler

How important is looking cool?

I think I'd probably go with the too big one unless it's a big problem loading/unloading at gigs or whatever. (remember gigs?)

conversely, i'd go with two boards for the simple reason that if one fucks up the other will still work. it would save a lot of troubleshooting. one board works by itself? well, then the problem is in the other one! not to mention that you may want to use the non-looping stuff for situations where the looping stuff would be superfluous.

Yeah.. I was looking at getting a new one and then realized I had that board I'm leaning that way...

Yeah.. for me it's a double suckfest... because right before the virus happened the front person in by band died of cancer... still the drummer and I are still going to do music together and if shows are ever allowed again we well soldier on, hence the still working on a live rig...[maybe if only to keep my sanity]

See yeah.. but I might put 2 in the big one just for moving around and still be able to pop out the looper board and put it places

Oh I'm sorry that sucks.

Yeah two of my bands were planning to seriously start trying to book gigs this year. Feels unlikely in the near future but I definitely get the urge to work on a live rig!
