Twas reminded of the Knas Moisturizer after looking at that demo for the Fjaerlett, and finally came up with a DIY-type solution:

$30 MOD reverb tank ->/<- RCA to 1/4 jacked feedback loop pedal -> Boss Bass EQ (for taste) -> w/e :idk:

It's closer to the EK than the Knas, but at least I'll have an input, and the exposed springs will still be noodle-able :)*

Also, this will probably cost less than $250 :trippy:

And if not

I almost bought a used Ditto today on the local ads, then I saw this. I know it's a shame TC got eaten up by this giant MusicTribe group, but I still like their products. I'm still waiting until the prices for the Ditto+ are released, but right now I'm about 90% sure I'll buy it...

They added another year worth of potential orders to the waitlist in a few hours basically. If I were them I would be absolutely scrambling to retool my operation to build much much more of that product as fast as possible.

Agreed, 5 years seems like it would turn a lot of people off. Also it makes these more likely for those high reverb sales which is a good/bad thing depending on how you play the game.

At those timespans it's not even turning people off, if I was in the business I'd perk my ears and start prototyping something along the same lines and start swiping those customers. He's just setting himself up to have his product taken.

I was actually thinking about it, and what the limitations are on the circuit and how to circumvent them. At its core the synth is just a feedback loop feeding into an EQ/filterbank. And he says you have to be careful so it doesn't output too much by design. I'd add something like a saturation stage and an attenuator/limiter at the end so you can both control the volume and get some sort of folding/timbre changes if you push frequencies.

Granted, if you go too far you'll just end up with a tabletop version of the 4MS Spectral Multiband Resonator, which would also be tasty.

Yeah you're describing a good idea (albeit as mentioned earlier a thing that can be done with multiple pieces of gear already)

However here you're obviously paying for the form factor.

Eh, maybe. Depends on how much you want to do this full time. If you're ok with just building a handful why escalate? It's not as if you won't have sales.

Oh yeah obviously the form factor is very attractive... Otherwise yes I'd be wearing a beanie and using a mac

If you're wearing a beanie in 30-degree* weather you're a monster.

*Or 85 Degrees in Fahrenheit.

Just got an email from Tilde Elektriske regarding the waitlist. It doesn't look like they are working towards any date on the waitlist any more and just said they will let you know when your spot in line is coming up. However, much more interesting is that an input will actually be available:
Some have asked for customizations and mods to the Fjærlett and I can say now that as a general rule I won’t be doing big structural mods and customizations. Small stuff like e.g change the led colour is of course possible. However, there will be an option for those of you who want an input jack (for a fee). More info about this input option will come later.
Also, as per their website, they're also making a Big Muff variant called the Mudder:
