I sometimes have to push myself to look beyond the ugliness of design, close my eyes and listen to a pedal to really appreciate it. I generally have an immediate dislike for pedals that use the font brush script in their designs (Beyond Fender) before I have to get over my dickish design snobbery and listen to it. That and roll bars on pedals.
