I've used combos forever for punk and psych, but if the low end gets sloppy I just dial it out. Now I need bigger low end because I'm tuned lower and do more palm-muting than before.

I don't like open back cabs for anything. it cuts on how much air is going to be pushed into your chest.

Ports are good for dat bass though

Started a 6x12 while I was waiting on tolex for my 3x12. I also threw together a 1x15 out of some scraps I had lying around. I took a side by side pic that I find hilarious.

You are correct it should be bigger. Its close to where it should be because of the depth but still not right. It was more of a situation of I had stuff lying around and I like the practice. I can always make it an over sized 1x12 if I feel like it.

SLK if you don't mind me asking, where do you buy your speakers from? I was thinking about doing a wholesale thing but I'm not really ready to do a businesses out of this.

I can't even get them wholesale. I looked into it and it's basically unfeasible to me. Both companies want you to have an actual brick/mortar storefront and a tax ID. I can get a tax ID but the store front is out of the question.
