Man, I have been wanting one of these for awhile now and this page, with the pics of all the custom etched enclosures is pushing me over the edge! Maybe it is time for me to design something cool and pick one up.

Some of these demos are driving me nuts. How are people avoiding the heartbeat sound? I tried matching the settings on this vid, for example, and ended up with that thumping metronome which I don't hear at all in the demo and haven't heard much in the others.

I had someone e-mail me about this as well, was it you? Like I told them, the noise is caused by the heavy amounts of gain going into and out of the reverb module and circuit. Unfortunately you can't have the gain without noise and if you want no noise you can't have the gain. This also changes the features and overall sound of the RM if I were to adjust the circuit. Try putting a noise gate after the RM and see if that helps, some RM's are noisier than others.

Do you have any other pedals on the power supply? Particularly pedals with LFOs or other time-based things?
Nah it's inherent with the type of circuit. It's probably from the Post Gain being up quite a bit. I had to turn mine down as it also drove me bonkers. I have had two of these. The first one did not do it and the second did and then the one I had that was Excane's did it as well. So not sure why, but as far as I know, it's just the way the circuit is.

Does anyone know the type of the lightbulb in the RM1N? Mine seems to be quite a bit dimmer today and if I play it for more than a couple seconds there is a huge wash of something like white noise that comes through and makes a horrible racket. Anyone have this issue? Related to the lightbulb?

I stopped using those bulbs becasue of this reason, you must have an early #, they are screw in bulbs and were a lot easier to build with but I now use standard LED's with my jewel's. Send me and e-mail: Industrialectric@hotmail.com and we can discuss further, thanks!

I ahve a similair sound when I engage the pedal while using isolated power. Is this related do you think Andrew?
I don't mind because I leave it on 100% of the time and it's not really a hassle to turn the volume down if it is off, but yeah I'm just curious...
Yes this is related to that, as well I've found that different isolated power supplies work on different polarities and sometimes don't provide adequate current that the RM needs. You can certainly give me a shout if you ever want anything updated in the future or need to discuss further
