I like the fancy wood grip Chemex. :idk: Used the six cup version for quite a while before I got the Kalita set.
Kalita's flat bottom filter design is more forgiving than the Chemex. Nice, flat bed.

I love the way the wood Chemex looks, just don't like cleaning it and dealing with that leather tie that never wants to stay tight. Plus after a while the wood will get funky as it gets small bits of water on it over and over.

There is fighting in the port of Mokha (namesake of the "Mocha" part of Mocha Java).

I'm gonna go out and get me a cup of coffee. Sadly, nothing from Yemen though. :mope:

:)* I once had an ex girlfriend tell me "you should put salt in your coffee if it's too strong" and thought she was just gonna make me out to be a sucker, but then I heard to do it somewhere else...anyone tried this de-harshing method....i'l pass. :D

tried it, not the worst thing in the world

very small amount can pull bitter tastes out,

it's not going to make terrible coffee into great coffee but it will make it drinkable, but so would a small splash of water.

I am in the worst coffee rut, think i need a work french press again.

also: If anyone wants some free expired Ionia Il Cafe I have cases of it, you cover shipping and I will send you a ton of vaccuum sealed packs it's crazy strong.

Coffee!

ground French press all the way
I get whatever organic dark roast is on sale
And grinding it at the store
Usually only get a little at a time
I worked for an ex heroin addict that grew weed and did wax extracts
He was nuts.
And he loved his coffee. He was an elitist about it.
But it's true that once you grind it, you should use it within the week.
So most stuff on the shelves are rancid.
Coffee!
