In the rare case I've had problems with screws coming loose, I just blue Loctite them down. Still adjustable, but they go nowhere.

I keep it on hand already for firearms use.

May need to go find me some of that stuff.
It's a daily problem for me.
Like to the point where I wouldn't be able to play a full set with this guitar
Also to the point that the previous owner had to replace one of the bridge screws because it fell out (and the one he replaced it with needs a different sized allen key  )

Jus read the instructions on the Loctite before you buy it, there's stuff that is intended to never, ever be removable without lots of torque and heat (which will probably destroy the item). You just want the "little bit of help" stuff.

Put a decent string on there.

My Vi has been sitting still on a Fedex truck less than 2 miles from my house since 5:23 yesterday morning. They won't even let me go pick it up. It' SHOULD be delivered on monday.... :picard:

YESSSS! Oof, needs a proper low string. Flop city.
Other than that, pretty awesome! Bassier than I expected, so that's great. The trem is heavy handed. By that I mean you have to push pretty far and hard to get much vibrato action. But after 4 days of flicking a floyd rose around I guess any other trem is going to feel pretty different.

Also, the nut still has little stringy things hanging off it. Not terribly cut, but not really cleaned up, either.

You may be able to get some adjustment on the trem to make it a little more responsive but it's also a case of bass trems just require more movement/push to get less wobble than a guitar, particularly in the lower registers.

The old Kahler bass trems had to be manhandled too on any of them I ever played.

I was in the store I ordered my Squier VI in today. The guy was all like WUT!? IN SEPTEMBER YOU ORDERED? So they called the european fender distributor guy and he was like "eh, that stuff was here in december, but had some terrible QC issues, so we shredded the whole load. Your thing should arrive in the last week of february or the first week of march."

So yeah, at least now I have an approximate date.

That sucks dude, but I think it's probably a blessing instead of getting some super terrible one :idk:

Hopefully it comes soon!

I orderd mine from Dawsons (UK) on the 14th of October, and it arrived to me (Ireland) last Tuesday (4th February)

From the changes on the stock status on their page the week before last, it looks like they got 10 sunbursts in, which seems to be half of their pre-orders for that model. "Stock on order" went from 20 to 10 (there was no movement on black or white). Edit: White's "Stock on order" has gone down from 10 to 7, so maybe they got three of them in too.
All I can say is that it's worth the wait :thumb:

Same comments as everyone else. Low E string is floppy, and the nut has curly shavings hanging off it. Other than that, it feels, looks and plays really great. Loads of sounds between all the switch options. I have a set of heavier La Bella strings already, but I'm waiting on a new vintage tort guard to arrive before I put them on.

Got the call from my local shop.
When I checked it out, the bridge pickup was sitting at about a 60 degree angle, as if the pilot holes were drilled too far forward, and both screws were totally stripped.
They are sending it back.
