easily one of the best beers I've had

Pumking on tap is absolutely glorious

I forgot how great Delerium Tremens is on tap. its really something. fuck the haters.

this is normally a favorite at the bar, but from the bottle its a bit too sweet. it got better as it warmed up though, so who knows.

also, i broke into the Yuengling Black and Tan today.

on campus bar is selling rhineland shorties. they are soooo sweet but still pretty good. there's also a lot of other beer there that i haven't tried yet, i will report back later. although when it comes to overpriced booze that i can quasi-legally obtain i mostly drink heineken tallboys.

Heineken?

Yuck

I'm not a big fan of imports. I think by the time it gets from Europe to the states it's had the chance to turn into bong water.

Considering there are so many delicious regional craft beers,..why would anyone drink imports?

Unless it's a Dos Equis on a hot day.

Also;....Been drinking this at work....

Image

Delicious and smooth. Beer Advocate gives it some good marks.

Heineken is probably brewed under license somewhere in the states for the us market. It tastes horrible over here too though. And I can be in the Netherlands in about an hour.

If so,...does that mean skunky is what it's intended to taste like?

I drink imports a lot because, as much as I love craft brew explosion in the US, there are still beers over in Europe that kill anything over here. And the American versions are usually buried under a metric ass-ton of hops.

no beer, so Sailor Jerry and Coke are a fantastic substitute.

I feel that,...but I guess I was more referring to the mainstream,..heavily pushed, ubiquitous imports,...like Heineken,...Amstel,...Stella,...Pilsner Urkuell (sp?),...

The last two I will actually drink in a pinch,...or not snub if someone offers,...but yeah,...even the crappiest of the craft beers blows those out of the water IMO.

I guess I just really don't have access to any of the more underground/esoteric European brews.

Is metric ass-ton a technical term? ;)

How many gram-ass-pounds is a metric-ass-ton? :p

Ah, ok I get ya. Yeah, I'm not big on Heine, Amstel or Stella. Urquell I'll drink when I'm in the mood, since it's one of the few real, authentic pilsners we can get over here.
