So I'm starting what in theory is a kickass new job Monday. Combines my last 7 years of business to business electronic sales experience and my hobby as a bass player. I'm going to be the US sales manager for the guys behind the class d power amp modules that go in all the micro bass amps (among other things).

Whether you dig these kind of amps or not (I happen to love them), I'm super excited that I get to be in the industry with a lot of the major companies as my clients (a decent raise helps the excitement a little bit as well ). I leave sunday for a week of training in Denmark!

IDK the name of the song yet, that damn new. I'll get ya some clips, might be a few days though. We had a good show, for a few songs when we had a bunch of wild dancers, we had one dude dancing like a crazed aerobics instructor for most of the set, pretty funny.

I'm in withdrawal mode, right now. The old band was big shit in a small pot for a few years. Pretty fun stuff. Nothing outside of La or Tx but tearing it up around here. Our singer moved away a few months back. Got a new thing going that sounds insanely good but it'll be a few months until we get out playing.

It's been really needed, though. That old band has some great recordings but it was all done on a Boss GT-10B. We took a slight break once and that's when I graduated to individual stompboxes...but the lower end kind. My sound is a billion times better, now. Almost embarrassed about those old recordings. Would never have been able to spend all this time copying you and Behndy if we were still playing.

A break isn't a bad thing every once and awhile. Hell, I ended up on a sabbatical and didn't play in a real band for about two years. I am in a great project that fits me like a glove.
My last band was kind of a big deal for a bit, definately were on the rise, at least on the Deathmetal scene around Florida. Unfortunately, I was the one who started the downward spiral for that band, I was pretty self-destructive. It was fun while it lasted though.
Now I get to do what I want pretty much, paint a lot of pictures with my little boxes. I look forward to your next band's tunes Broski!

And as much as I love the Saints....bought season tickets in 2005 when they were 3-13 and playing in Baton Rouge and I was only 21.....I can't help but see that first ticket as a bitcrusher and the second one as a.....as a......holy fuck.....am I at the end of my want list.....?

breaks are so weird. i played in a band for about 6 or 7 years when i was a kid, we did ok, never really made a dent beyond local stuff but got to play with and meet a lot of interesting folks (Deftones, Sublime (when singer dooder was still alive), No Doubt, Nuclear Rabbit...). but i was just fucking BURNT on playing bass. i took about 6 years where i noodled on bass like once every six months but was primarily doing electronic wannabe IDM wank out stuff. learned a lot.

i feel like i've only been playing bass for about 6 months right now even though i gigged with one bad for 2 or 3 years and have been doing startup on a new one. it's awesome.
