Make sure the rom you're getting has something like (E) or (U) in the filename, for the EU or US release. Japanese will of course be (J), and there are others but I never see em. Also (!) indicates one that isn't all fucked up.

I came here to say don't waste your money on Payday 2 and Octodad is fucking hilarious

I wish I didn't either, my copy only runs on a 360 controller as well - for some reason even after restarting and changing settings for 10 minutes.

Dreams of Steam summer sale purchased killed by receiving a WoW beta invite for new expansion.
No need to buy stuff I won't play any time soon.

Looks like a lot of problems are popping up due to Overkill reducing the size of the game by 20gb, I'm sure eventually it'll get fixed. Just sucks buying a game you really want to play and having to wait for the debs to fix it.

I haven't been able to find any umerican ones. I know it was only released in Japan, but everyone on the internet talks about how it's such a great FF game. I find it hard to believe that there's that many Japanese people on the internet

The GBA port was released in English.

I tried VBA, but it's all gross and stretched looking in full screen. I'll probably just stop being a weenie, and just play it that way eventually.

Yeah I've definitely found FFV in english before, don't recall it being particularly tricky to get hold of.

For as crappy as the environments were in those games, they sure were a shitload of fun.
Edit: I should've said, "for as crappy as the environments, voice acting, 'stories' and some character designs were." But yep. Still fun.

There was a PS1 port on Final Fantasy Anthology back in the day.

Going to dig up my Gamecube and track down some games I never got around to playing.
Steam sales just left me feeling incredibly bummed out this time, I don't know what it is. I've had more fun on my Vita the past few weeks.

I feel like a lot of these big games on the sale don't really seem any fun. I've been thinking a lot about how much more fun I had playing video games when I was younger. there was just something special about playing games back then that isn't quite there now. part of me thinks that older games are more about gameplay, but maybe i'm not digging deep enough into modern games
